Fun Day at Barangay Lapasan

Exoro Events team, together with participating sponsors finally holds its first Christmas event for this year. The Christmas Bazaar at Barangay Lapasan, was an event of yuletide celebration of fun, games, food and surprises to people of Lapasan, especially to the children.

The event was held at Barangay Lapasan Covered Court, which we, personally considered as a strategic place in holding the event considering its vast number of population, people’s active support and participation, lastly, good sound system. We are honored that upon our request, Hon. Omar Labuntog, greatly extend his support on our endeavor. He personally requested to hold the event at the covered court which is located just beside their Barangay Hall.

After a month of preparation, we were able to launch the event last December 15, Friday and ended on December 16, Saturday. The day started as the staff and crew from different participating establishments were busy installing their booths for their product display and selling, leaflet distribution, as well as posting of marketing material such tarpaulins. The Barangay Lapasan staff added tone to the event as they started to do the “recorrida” or the public announcement using their mobile patrol. This helped us informed the people about the event and invited them to participate on our activities and witness some of the performances from our invited guests.
During the two days, the programme always took place in the middle of the day, as the venue started to gather more audiences. Each kid was given a cute and colorful mask from Dunkin Donuts as they joined, while other people are busy buying food from vendors within the event area.

The event was graced by the Barangay Lapasan Hon. Omar Labuntog as he gave message to the people… and the rest was followed by fun, fun, fun games and surprises. Different parlor games was set during the day, namely, Bunny Hopping, Bring Me Game, Walk Like A Japanese, Longest Shout, Hoola-hoop dance, Fishing Rod, Trip to Jerusalem and many more. It was really amazing how the people eagerly participated on the games. Not only they had fun, they also received prizes like Sweet Ham from Slers, gift packs of Bambini soap and Biogenic alcohol from Romgenson Marketing, and assorted donuts from Dunkin Donuts. The spirit of Christmas won’t be complete without the sweet smiles of children as they receive assorted toys as their prizes too.

Far from more than having fun-filled afternoon of games, the day was heat up as our guests, Tablon Dance Company and The Shadow; both dance competition finalists showcased their best performances on the dance floor with their hip-hop moves, and groovy music. But nothing could be more jaw dropping with the world class presentation from Latin Premiero as they danced the Pasa Doble and Jazz. We were so entertained and fascinated with their grace, pose and liftings which made the crowd requested for more. Well, the performers were so kind that they granted the peoples request and danced for the third time!

The event won’t be made possible without the support of the Lapasan Barangay Hall members and staff, and also to our sponsors, who generously provided us with the prizes. Our deepest gratitude to Slers Industries, Dunkin Donuts, Coca –Cola Bottlers Phils, Nature’s Spring Water, More Bites Pizza, Romgenson and Parasat Digital.
We from Exoro Events hoped that this would be the start of a good partnership in events organizing.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

How to Celebrate Chinese New Year

All creations are reborn in New Year ’s Day, a Chinese proverb says. It is a celebration of change. The Chinese New Year falls on a different date each year because it is based on a combination of the lunar and solar movements. New Year begins on January 23rd in 2012. It is the Year of the Dragon.
The events that occurred during New Year’s Day may impact your life for the rest of the year so better be careful in your actions. Be selective with what you eat and greet people who will bring you joy. To ensure a prosperous and healthy year, you should enhance and stimulate positive energy flow at home, at your business and at work.

Greet others with "Gung Hey Fat Choy" which means "Wishing You Prosperity and Wealth".
Give two lee see’s to each child. Because happiness comes in two’s, do not just give one. This is your way of passing good luck to the next generation. Business owners also give lee sees to employees and associates.
Wear brand new clothes - preferably in red. Children should wear new clothes with new shoes.

Throughout the New Years season, certain foods are served because they symbolize abundance and good fortune. Besides preparing special dishes, tangerines and oranges are often passed out to children and guests, as they symbolize wealth and good luck.
An important tradition on New Year's Eve is for families to gather together and spend the evening preparing Chinese dumplings (Jiaozi). According to Chinese Culture Guide Jun Shan, it is common to hide a coin in one of the dumplings. Whoever gets the dumpling with the coin will supposedly have good luck in the coming year.

As you prepare for this important holiday, think of the changes you want to make in your life ... perhaps spend more time with your family, reduce your credit card debts or pursue a new interest. Gung Hey Fat Choy ... and Happy New Year!

Model-O-Mania's Help for Sendong Victims in CDO

Approximately 270 affected families whose houses and properties where totally washed out by typhoon Sendong are sheltered at Upper Balulang covered court located beside the Xavier Heights Barangay Hall.
Yesterday, January 11, 2012, these families were visited by  Exoro Events Organizer Ronilen Robas Alas together with PS2 Station Commander Police Senior Inspector Elmer Feliciano Robas with his staff to turn over relief goods such as clothing, rice, noodles, kitchen wares and assorted toys for the kids.  Part of the donation comes from the proceeds of the recently concluded Model O mania organized by Exoro Events.
Some of the Barangay officials were present during said event and they are very much grateful with the donations as this will surely help the flood victims.
Moments and activities were captured through the lens of photographer Hink Plenos Ferrer.
